Faith challenge: Pray for Joy for a week

We all need help from time to time considering how to spur ourselves on in the faith.

To compliment the recent Blog Post, An Argument for Joy, I couldn’t think of a better challenge then to encourage you to pray for joy.

Our prayers don’t have to be long or lofty. I love praying short prayers throughout the day. Like you’ll see in other posts, I write out short prayers and try to say them often. They’re kind of like mantras that I speak out to the Lord, while growing in the truth of their words.

For the next seven days, I challenge you to:

pray for joy.

I am a firm believer that we will find God when we seek Him with all of our hearts. (Jeremiah 29:13)

So, let’s seek God’s Joy for the next week. In the morning when we wake up, let’s pray for Joy.

My Prayer:

Father,

Thank you for being a God that is full of joy. I need your joy more than any other counterfeit form. I ask you to make me more like you in that I am full of joy. I pray that I can find joy throughout the day. I pray that you would help me remain positive and uplifted. Thank you that your spirit is working in me to become a more joyful woman. Your desire is that I walk with joy and that I spread your love and joy to everyone around me. Give me grace, courage and insight to do this well.

In Jesus’ name I pray!

AMEN!

It is amazing what God does when we petition Him in prayer. Keep at it, friends. Joy is on it’s way to you.
