How's your Joy?

Hey you.
.
How’s it going? How is your Joy?
.

I imagine each and every one of you reading this have a million things going on in your life. Okay, maybe not a million- but a lot.
.
I know a lot of you SAHMama’s are in a season that I can surely relate to. #godblessus Mama, hows your joy after a day full of screaming matches, taddle tails, time outs, boo boos and band aids? How do you find joy in the middle of these chaotic days?
.
My husband travels. He got into bed at 3:26am this morning. Yes. You read that right, 3:26. Some of you traveling folks out there may read this. How’s your joy after a long trip away from home? Away from your family, friends and that precious bed of yours.
.
How about those of you feeling financially strapped? You just did the budget after payday and you’re going to have to really trim things down until the next paycheck rolls in. You are constantly concerned with making ends meet. How’s your joy?
.
I know some of you precious readers are physically at the end of your ropes. Bandages, doctors appointments, unknown results, countless more procedures ahead. Pricks and prods and aches and pains. Could be that you are in great physical condition, but that person you love? They’re crumbling before your eyes and the pain in your soul is nearly too much to bear. How’s your joy?
.
Some of you reading may be in the midst of one of the most painful relational issues you’ve ever faced. Divorce, break up, arguments, misunderstandings. How’s your joy?
.
Some of you may be single and hating it- others may be newly married and totally freaked out. Maybe you’re a first time Mom or just had another baby, and totalllllly overwhelmed. I remember those first few months after Jordan was born. I nearly caved in. Could be you have a new job or you’re experiencing any FIRST that feels so uncomfortable and alien. How’s your joy?
.
And then, there are a pocket full of people that are in a season of bliss. Newlyweds still reminiscing of their honeymoon, new parents of smiling babes, vacationers with sun kissed skin. But even in the fun of it all/ you may still feel struck by the question. I find this to be the most compelling. How often I am fooled by what appears to be “life is great” when in reality the darkness has infiltrated almost unnoticeable. How’s your joy?
.

My Mission of Joy includes a recurring question to you. How’s your joy?

God reminded me tonight of the mission he placed on my heart. To REMIND YOU of HIS JOY.
I sit here with a bit of a heavy heart considering many of you are not full of the joy he offers. Funny enough, it’s not your circumstances that grieve me- it’s not the WHAT. What grieves me is the WHO. Who are you turning to during these times? Trust me- the joy that your souls craves and was created for won’t turn up when things get better. Don’t look at the WHAT more than you consider the WHO.

Do not forget that we can have COMPLETE JOY in Jesus!
.

Ask him for HIS JOY!

Y’all-We. Will. Always. Have. Trials.
No matter if you’re in a season of great circumstances or one that is terribly difficult...
.
We can always have joy….
Because we can always be with Jesus. HE IS our Joy.
.
If you’re feeling low in the joy tank, this is for you.

Go somewhere quiet, alone and just tell Jesus what’s on your heart and ask him for his joy. It’s yours if you’ll just receive it. The Joy that Jesus will offer you is accompanied by maybe one of the most coveted things in the world. Peace. His joy can bring you peace in the chaos, peace in the pain, peace in the exhaustion.

Jesus is your peace in your storm, he is the anchor to your soul and friend, brother, sister, you NEED him. Every. Step. Of. the. Way. Believe it or not, he can lighten your load, remove the burden, lift the weight, put laughter back into your belly, delight your heart and chase out the darkness.

Go- seek him. He is so worth it.

I love you.
